Pros
-Tonnes of opportunity to develop your career (especially if you're willing to move and/or travel) -Best in class benefits (in the country I'm in - Canada) -Lots of training programs for all levels of staff -Presidents level managers who are extremely approachable and take the time to talk to low level employees (especially at the Valve and Measurement Group) -Relatively solid IT tools -Sales incentive plan is excellent -Really excellent people everywhere you go -Extremely strong ethical values -Six Sigma (now called Enterprise Excellence) program offers great opportunities
Cons
-Pay needs a little bump....we're competitive but often end up as a training ground for competition. -Management incentive plan is really bad -Strange obsession with promoting Harvard MBA's into positions they are incapable of handling. -More Finance people than most major accounting firms. (I'm being sarcastic but you know what I mean) -HR teams can be awful (others are fine) -Bad managers often do damage for a long period of time before dealt with. -Management needs to do more - quickly about safety. -Optimus project is ridiculous.
