Pros

Being able to work with animals

Cons

After an expansion, a lot of things started to go downhill when you'd think they would get better. We started accepting more and more dogs, daycare and boarding dogs, to the point where we are using five yards and still have overcrowding. This is an issue when there are dogs constantly being interviewed and we don't have space (much less time) to give the new dogs a controlled environment to assimilate. Most days, interview dogs are stressed to the max because of the number of other dogs bombarding them. Like other camp reviews have stated, we do have a problem with aggressive dogs being kept too long. There is no doubt that the yard overcrowding has something to do with increasing aggression, altercations, and counselor injuries. In the past few months we've had multiple new employees leave because of being bit by problem dogs. It's important to note that the counselors here are very good at reporting behavior, but the management doesn't take action. To list some less pressing matters at this location: the cleaning supplies should be replaced more often; it feels as if we're more so spreading around dirt, rather than cleaning it up. Our staff is spread too thin with the amount of work there is in the back. Most days are a gamble if you will be able to complete everything and you have to cut corners to get it done. No one bats an eye if you skip duties, but if you actively take time to do things right, you get reprimanded for being "slow," which is infuriating. There is no perk to being lead at camp, only more work to do with no pay raise. Being a counselor is much less stressful.

Pros

The dogs, their parents, and MOST of the employees.

Cons

Owners only care about money. Prices will go up immediately, and without warning for parents. Hours are cut without enough warning. They expect more without paying for it, or staffing correctly. They butt in to everything, and do things incorrectly without informing the correct people. They are rude and fake. All parents that have met them are horrified that they own this business. Dogs actually dislike them, and this has been witnessed many times by several employees. Not to mention they hire and keep a convicted child molester while there is a minor on staff. They also save parent's credit card info without asking, and will charge it without informing parents. This is not legal in this state. Just awful. 100% do not recommend.
