Pros
Nice and new, modern office building, easy access to the highway. Good colleagues but a lot of experience is driven by who you report into.
Cons
Canon is one of those stereotypical Japanese companies that honours loyalty and tenure in its employees, which in most instances is a good thing, but sometimes it's not. In canon Canada's place, it is not a positive virtue as you have a lot of senior leadership that still carry scars from being mistreated by prior ex-pat management and they seemingly take it out on their subordinates. New ideas are very heavily scrutinized and as much as the marketing department (which for a company with relatively flat revenue growth you ...is massive) likes to talk about their wonderful kpis, there is very little growth in their current markets. They sell a product that has a shrinking demand and get very little support for Canon hq in regards to new and exciting product, but Canon Canada is a prime example of a company that promotes from within vs hiring external for senior leadership positions and it goes along way in recognizing the tunnel vision they have a subsidiary. For a paycheck, it's fine but if you are looking for a long term career? Unless you want to put up with a lot of unnecessary business cycles and we'll below average pay, I'd look elsewhere.
