Pros

Strong Brand Reputation: it's a globally recognised brand which can be a great resume booster. Good Work-Life Balance: healthy balance between work and personal life, hybrid options, 3 days in the office, 2 wfh. Training and Development Opportunities: the company invests in employee growth through training programs, development resources, and internal mobility options. Employee Benefits: Competitive benefits package including pension schemes, healthcare, employee discounts on products, and wellness programs.

Cons

Slow Career Progression: opportunities for promotion or career advancement can be limited or very slow. Bureaucracy and Red Tape: decision-making can be slow, with processes sometimes being overly bureaucratic. Traditional Corporate Structure: Depending on the department, the culture may feel a bit rigid or old-fashioned, which might not suit everyone. Pay May Not Be Industry-Leading: While the benefits are solid, some roles may offer salaries that are not as competitive as other tech companies. Communication Gaps: communication across departments can be challenging

Pros

I had a very positive internship experience, Canon really values their interns and lets them do all sorts of special projects. All employees are super kind and I would love to return there full time if there is an opportunity available.

Cons

Must drive to Melville (no train station in walking distance)
