Pros
1. Good benefits. The medical started on my first day of work. I have been places where it doesn't kick in for a month. 2. Plenty of time off. You are given two weeks off plus holidays plus paid shut downs. 3. You have the opportunity to move about in the company to different departments with different jobs. (Keep in mind yoy can't just wake up one day and say wouldn't it be fun to be an xxxxx and expect to get the job).
Cons
1. Positions were created as needed in many cases. This means many area part of a career path so you could be dead ended quick. 2. Pay is below average. The company will not budge on that issue despite proof of regional averages. 3. Not everyone gets to take off during those paid shut downs although they do compensate by paying double or allowing you to convert time worked during a shut down to extra vacation.
