Pros
There are lots of young people, which is for the most part a pro for someone who started not long after exiting college. Co workers at similar levels were often willing to help and could sympathize with heavy workload. Most of them have since been laid off.
Cons
Management is undertrained and promoted on the basis of proficiency in a previous role rather than potential for a future role. HR is toxic. Team transition is so rapid that it was frequent to not know who your direct report was. There was an understood lack of organizational communication as well. Company culture was unfortunate given the average age of the employees. And when rates started to go up, this friendly local mortgage lender that boasts about being a top workplace cut 40 employees, of whom many were confused who their manager was for the past few months. Big talk and no action on core values.
