Pros

Some colleagues are really nice. Sometimes interesting client work.

Cons

Below market salary. No salary increases after the recession for most employees. Bodyshop work. Cliques and nepotism everywhere. Best consultants are gone or leaving. Promotions often based on who you are friends with, especially at higher levels. No appreciation. A lot of bad hires and managers who work here for years because they are friends with the leadership.

Capco Response

We are pleased to hear you enjoy working with your Capco colleagues and the variety of work, but disappointed to read your other feedback. We regularly undertake a benchmarking exercise to ensure salary, and indeed overall compensation, remains competitive in the market. We have also continued to run twice yearly promotion cycles throughout the pandemic and the leadership team remains committed to this. This provides our people with even more opportunities to progress in their Capco career. All individuals are assessed based on input and feedback from a variety of stakeholders and we hold promotion committees for those looking to progress to the next level to ensure a fair assessment and remove the opportunity for bias. We have many talented individuals who have chosen to build a long and rewarding career with Capco.

Pros

Capco has been genuinely supportive and invests in the development of my career. The team culture is collaborative and positive. Work-life balance has been consistently good with reasonable expectations.

Cons

No major complaints - but every role has some client-driven variability which comes with consulting

Pros

Capco has a friendly culture where people like to win together. A solid meritocracy that is expertise focused, and growth oriented with approachable leaders and plenty of opportunities for advancement.

Cons

Employees should be self-motivated (which for me is a plus), but being a smaller company it does lack clear and standard documentation routines. There is no one-size fits all career map, which allows self-starters to succeed and rise quickly in the organization.
