Incompetent, unsupportive, money focused, bullying management culture that has no respect or compassion for staff members has created a toxic work environment with poor morale and high turnover. Understaffing is constant across all departments, and management’s response is to rely on mandating and denying vacations to fulfill staffing shortages. Security staff has been rendered virtually useless by new hospital policies that severely limit their authority to intervene when patients and/or visitors become violent, and has resulted in numerous physical assaults on staff members.
