Pros
The reward is ample for those putting in the effort. There are opportunities for travel.
Cons
The uncollaborative working environment and sense that people would readily 'stab you in the back' to get ahead. The inability of senior management to identify individual staffing issues and deal with them. One very junior level management in the back office areas was in my opinion too young to handle a management role effectively. She was permitted to make the working lives of her subordinates a misery and remained unchecked by her line manager who was based in the US. Despite feedback from exit interviews this behaviour continued, leading to a high turnover in this particular area.
