Pros

The new hires that i work with are very personable. The recruiters did an excellent job picking them out Working from home of course saves gas.

Cons

Human Resources & Ethics does not help with any issues you have. They only protect those who have high status and don't care about real concerns. If you ever have a issue and need think you can go to them for help. Think again because they will side with those who have been with the company for years and have a high status - If you work from home your computer will be monitored by your trainer meaning they can see single thing you do on your screen. If they tell you this is not true do not believe them. They are lying and can see everything. They can see when you sit, when you stand, when you have your phone out ect. heavy micromangement and tracking. Trainers are very rude and passive-aggressive but this also goes along with the people who work here thinking they are better than everyone. They expect you to kiss up to them and be fake. - There's many things here that im pretty sure are not legal that are going on and when you call them out on it they turn a blind eye.

Pros

Some of the smartest individuals in their fields. The focus is always “forward” and the company is willing to adopt new tech to stay ahead for the purposes of the company’s (key word there) benefit. Great PTO and benefits.

Cons

The company’s drive to keep itself moving forward has caused it to regress in other aspects. As a leading tech company first, and leading bank second, it’s embarrassing what their stance is on hybrid and remote work. The company can easily accommodate remote options for their employees not near main offices, but chooses not to. I am relocating to a major city with no major CapOne presence and their response was “too bad, either fly up weekly or you’ll be terminated for not meeting the hybrid requirements”. It’s embarrassing because most of my week is remote anyways. I wonder how many current and past employees have been impacted, and I’m worried about how much talent they’ll be pushing away in the coming years.
