Pros
Capital One is filled with a lot of nice, smart folks who want to work reasonably hard (but not all the time). While it's team dependent, the work is challenging but manageable & pretty good time off & compensation.
Cons
A collaborative coaching culture is changing the last couple of years with the requirements that 15-20% of each team be below strong twice a year, regardless of previously articulated expectations or team's performance. They just want to lay people off because folks aren't leaving on their own. This results in a negative culture where everyone is trying not to be 'it' this cycle; once you are tagged with being below strong, it's basically impossible to come back from that unless you start performing waaaay above expectations.
