Pros

Benefits are good as compared with similar ones. 401K contribution, vocation package and other benefits overall. Compensation is acceptable, but it's not in the top in region area. A lot trainings with lunch free, Xmas party, team party. Nice campus in West Creek and Buildings with nice office. Company have good profits so far.

Cons

Waste your time to work if you want career opportunities. Company is still using 'tech' as old as 10 years ago and try to keep it forever. A Bank company's goal to be 'Technology' ones, but it's not realistic. Senior managers are anxious of their 'performance' to get higher annual bonus, They do not care what is the new and DO CARE WHAT PEOPLE LIE AT STANDING UP MEETING. A lot meetings create 'good' communications with trashes. For example, 10-10, How to listen your boss's lies and flatter them. Agile, How to lie your daily work. Agile grooming, How to generate a lot trash tasks and nobody really cares later. PS: Over 100 people fly from different regions to discuss one or two week tasks for less than 10 people. Richmond JAVA Community, Another trash meeting to benefit special purpose (individually).

Pros

Great culture, supportive leadership, and meaningful creative work with opportunities to learn and grow.

Cons

There can be a learning curve due to the size of the organization and the number of internal tools and processes.

Pros

WLB varies per team - not really a hustle culture but there are many solid teams where PMs rarely work outside of 9-5 Lots of focus on enabling Product Management across the company, still a long way from FAANG/big tech but leagues above other banks and financial services companies Data and inference/model teams are best in class in fintech

Cons

Performance management sucks. Aside from becoming a PIP factory (although this doesn't impact PMs as much as engineers), the near-constant slog of formal reviews + feedback gathering + calibrations detracts from real work. Capital One does traditional ML at scale quite well but GenAI is lagging behind. You'll find very seasoned professionals parroting "AI wins" and mass-sharing AI slop, coupled with 0 top-down direction on associate adoption or product integration. At this point in time, it serves as another distraction from meaningful discovery and delivery for PMs.
