Pros
Great Discount Supports a "Team" or "Family" environment Very good hours during the busy season. Plenty of contest and other incentives to work harder. (although I've gone at least 4 months with out a reward for winning a contest.)
Cons
The second conversion starts to drop hours get cut. As if employees control how many people come into the store. Resulting in a very high turnover rate. Very emotional and inconsistant senior management. Promote or hire inexperienced management that cannnot cope with the stresses of retail management and take that out on employees. Employees treated as "servants" to management, expected to do the things that they do not want to do themselves. Very catty environment among managers that should not be seen to employess. Management refuses to do anything that seems "beneath" them. (i.e: help clean or check-out their own sales, making lower employees do it for them.) Management feels rules set for employees are below them and they do not have to follow them.
