Great first job to get SOMEthing on the resume. Don't stay more than a year. - Government Account Representative Carahsoft Employee Review

Pros

It's very easy to get hired at Carahsoft, and it's pretty difficult to get fired. The annual company trip to some tropical destination is pretty enticing to some. There are lots of prizes and spifs that one can earn while working there. The average age is low-to-mid twenties, so this provides a young, fun atmosphere.

Cons

Cold calling, cold calling, cold calling. The young atmosphere lends to a lot of unprofessional attitudes. It's hard to "see yourself" going anywhere at this company. Did i mention the cold calling? The salary is not great, and you can't pay your bills with gift cards.

Pros

4.5 years working at Carahsoft, I’ve seen and heard it all. Work from home, too many people take this for granted. They promote within! Plenty of opportunity to move up if you work hard and deserve obviously. Work hard, be proactive, take accountability, be reliable, consistent aka do your job and you aren’t micromanaged. If the above is done, they compensate you very nicely. Craig pays 50% of health insurance (not sure if this has changed for new hires) that is unheard of and extremely helpful. Insurance is great, never had any issues. Craig cares and does so much for his employees, way more than I think some people deserve and take for granted. Team Trip, 401k match, Shoe Day, Epic Bar Tab, Reggae Fest, milestone and birthday gift cards, Trophy Bottle, snack boxes, and more.

Cons

They hire kids right out of college with zero work ethic and work experience. They don’t fire people enough, you have a handful of top performers picking up the slack for their colleagues and carrying the team. 60+% of my pay is bonus which makes tax season daunting and stressful.
