Pros

Interacting with other co-workers, once a year company tropical trip, free alcohol and gift cards.

Cons

If you've read the negative reviews on this page, trust me when I say it's all true. Craid Abod, the CEO of this company, is a horrible human being. He will humiliate you in front of other coworkers if he catches you on your phone or not making cold calls. Most recently, he yelled at an entire floor of employees to get them off their phones. If you're a male, you will catch him on occasion pulling his pants down in the men's bathroom which is pretty weird. The hours are long and grueling and get worse during busy season AKA September where you are required work extra hours from the usual 8:30 am to 5:30 pm to show up on a Saturday even though it makes no sense as to why. There is no HR department which for a 10,000 employee company that is expected to hit $10 billion in sales within the next couple of years is quite unusual. There some good team leads but unfortunately there are a ton of bad ones and most of them will set unrealistic expectations for you, not to mention most of them will take more vacation days and early leaves than 90% of the employees who work here. Getting out of the current building is an absolute nightmare as there is only one exit out and there is no traffic lights so if you get stuck in the employee lot you will more than likely will spend an hour trying to get out. Management even said instead of waiting in the lot you should stay inside and work which makes no sense as we don't get paid for working past normal work hours.

Pros

4.5 years working at Carahsoft, I’ve seen and heard it all. Work from home, too many people take this for granted. They promote within! Plenty of opportunity to move up if you work hard and deserve obviously. Work hard, be proactive, take accountability, be reliable, consistent aka do your job and you aren’t micromanaged. If the above is done, they compensate you very nicely. Craig pays 50% of health insurance (not sure if this has changed for new hires) that is unheard of and extremely helpful. Insurance is great, never had any issues. Craig cares and does so much for his employees, way more than I think some people deserve and take for granted. Team Trip, 401k match, Shoe Day, Epic Bar Tab, Reggae Fest, milestone and birthday gift cards, Trophy Bottle, snack boxes, and more.

Cons

They hire kids right out of college with zero work ethic and work experience. They don’t fire people enough, you have a handful of top performers picking up the slack for their colleagues and carrying the team. 60+% of my pay is bonus which makes tax season daunting and stressful.
