Good college job - Leasing Intern Cardinal Group Companies Employee Review

Pros

The property I worked at was nice. Managers and coworkers are very friendly but still expected us to hit our weekly leasing goals. Part time employee's receive a rent discount, commission, and minimum wage. During the leasing season you can make a lot of money.

Cons

Commission drops as the property starts to hit capacity. During turn there are crazy hours for a couple weeks where you have to clean up after old residents. Seeing the disgusting apartments people live in and having to clean up after them isn't enjoyable. Hitting overtime makes most of the work worth it.

I'm stealing your comments about turn. Think you nailed it on the head. The things we see...and touch in the name of bringing a community to its best can sometimes be a little eye-opening, but the experience of working hard together always makes it worth it. You make a good point about optics of the teams tasked with the overall operations. It's a lesson all managers and folks who are responsible for the well-being of others need to keep front of mind. Really appreciate your upfront and honest feedback. Here's hoping we can work hard to earn that fifth star from you.

Pros

I love working here. I feel lucky that I am able to work on projects I love and work with people who encourage me.

Cons

Sometimes change comes in waves- big rollouts all at once feel overwhelming but I understand that happens sometimes!

Pros

- Room for growth and promotions - Job security - Most of your coworkers are easy to work with

Cons

- Work life balance: depends on who your white label is and if you work strictly for cardinal they have a better work life balance. - Turnover rate in corporate - Learn as you go / 0 training in every role unless if you have a good manager - CYA mentality - High expectations / sometimes unrealistic goals - When corporate comes into town they are never hands on due to having too many meetings in a day
