Toxic - Administrator Cardinal Title Group Employee Review

Pros

They have a policy of being nice and professional and most of the employees there are.

Cons

Very high turnover rate, so the nice professional ones don't stick around, due to management being toxic. There is retaliation if you complain. Anyone with power will absolutely punch down rather than address an issue. Keep your head down, collect your paycheck, and look for something better ASAP. Zero employee appreciation, unless you are in a position eligible to win their monthly performance award.

Pros

I have worked at Cardinal for almost 4 years. I enjoy the work environment, friendly colleagues and the great pay! Management rewards hard workers regardless of your job title and does not micromanage its staff. Cardinal provides all of the necessary tools and resources in order to run a successful, high volume title shop. Management is also flexible, provides a great work-life balance and treats all if its staff with respect and dignity. There is a bureaucracy, however there is no hierarchy where one position is more important than another and there is a complete team atmosphere. I cannot think of a better title company to work for in the DMV.

Cons

-No matching 401k -It can be challenging scheduling closing with the numerous office locations and signing options, although the customers love it. -Workflow delegation needs improvement

Pros

Above average pay for the industry Solid working hours

Cons

Nepotism runs rampant and some at the top are unqualified. Unless you work at the main office you are completely on an island with no real office culture or interaction with other employees. There is no training so there is no uniformity across the company. I approached a manager and said I was going to need a few days for some doctor appointments to deal with some medical issues and I was fired days later without cause at the end of the month so my insurance lapsed the next day. No match on 401k.
