Pros
As a casemanager, some flexibility on schedule. They do pay higher beginning salary than most case management agencies, but after you pay for medical, that money goes away quickly. There are many opportunities to grow--see CONS.
Cons
Poor benefits--very limited PTO, such as vacation time, no sick days as they provide 2 weeks of PTO and that includes sick and vacation. Only about 5 holidays. Medical per month premiums are high. Unpaid bereavement of 3 days. No other benefits offered. Those promoted into supervisory positions have minimal experience or knowledge, or poor follow through, which leads to disorganization. Case manager are expected to follow mandates ASAP so the company can bill. In the end, this is a business--that is a pro and con. You have to be able to time manage to get through it all.
