Pros

Each case also offers a unique environment and set of challenges, which contributes to continuous learning and professional growth. Additionally, during my initial experience with the organization, management was exceptional—demonstrating enthusiasm, approachability, and strong support. Their positive attitude toward staff fostered a welcoming and encouraging work environment, making the overall experience very positive.

Cons

A significant concern is that management’s initial enthusiasm is not sustained over time. Serious clinical and safety-related issues are often not addressed in a timely manner, and staff concerns may be minimized rather than appropriately investigated. There have been instances in which evidence-based nursing practices were characterized by management as “acceptable” despite conflicting with established standards of safe practice. This creates an unsafe environment not only for nurses, but also for patients, and places licensed staff at professional and legal risk. While it is understood that many healthcare organizations are financially driven, Care Options initially presented itself as an organization that prioritized professionalism, patient safety, and clinical integrity. Unfortunately, this has not consistently aligned with practice. As a seasoned registered nurse, I strongly recommend maintaining thorough documentation of all communications with management, keeping records of clinical concerns raised, and utilizing appropriate reporting channels when necessary to protect both licensure and patient safety.Another concern is that when nurses appropriately identify and report clinical or safety concerns, the response from management may shift. Rather than being supported, the reporting nurse may be viewed as problematic for raising these issues, resulting in a noticeable change in how they are treated. This type of response can discourage open communication, suppress legitimate safety concerns, and undermine a culture of transparency. An environment in which nurses feel penalized for advocating for patient safety increases risk for both patients and staff and conflicts with professional nursing standards.

Pros

1. Office staff is accessible without long hold times with dreadful hold music. 2. Training is available whenever you need a refresher. 3. Quality is emphasized more than anything else. 4. Documentation is straightforward 5. At least at the office that I am contracted out of I feel heard regarding my issues. 6. They pay better than the hospitals. 7. If you are flexible they will be flexible too.

Cons

1. Paperwork for your shift is due that day and you cannot check in for another shift until that paperwork is complete. 2. Some items of the paperwork is repeated needlessly. (There is a reason for it but still annoying) 3. If you work nights, Saturday to Sunday; the pay week ends on Saturday at midnight so the Sunday hours won’t be counted in your pay. It will be added to the following week’s pay.
