Pros

Company used to be AMAZING when it was Solace. The pros of the company are the clients and being able to work with kids in their natural environment (which you obviously get at any home health company), the ability to maintain your own schedule and work/life balance, the company car program (while costs to be in the program are going up and the insurance on it has a much higher deductible than it used to be, it's still a good deal), they allow cotreating with other disciplines which is amazing, and they still have some community outreach programs - though the budget for this has shrunk a lot since I started with the company a few years ago.

Cons

Since getting bought by private equity 2 years ago, the emphasis on caring for kids and families has been going wayyyyy downhill. - A few months ago they cut full time employee's 401k match via EMAIL. This is effectively a 4% pay cut. All the reasons for the pay cut were absolutely ridiculous. Not a good sign for a company. - Health care plan options are significantly worse every year on top of being more expensive. - They recently changed to Microsoft instead of Google/RingCentral (Zoom) which is so far in my opinion worse. - They are not transparent about changes with many last minute large changes happening without announcement (such as a recent change to increase number of visits per week required for full time status). - They no longer have a DEI team, and even when they did, leadership team never took their recommendations seriously. - Clearly the new executive leadership team cares about profits, cutting costs, and ripping off clinicians and families as much as possible.

Pros

1. Office staff is accessible without long hold times with dreadful hold music. 2. Training is available whenever you need a refresher. 3. Quality is emphasized more than anything else. 4. Documentation is straightforward 5. At least at the office that I am contracted out of I feel heard regarding my issues. 6. They pay better than the hospitals. 7. If you are flexible they will be flexible too.

Cons

1. Paperwork for your shift is due that day and you cannot check in for another shift until that paperwork is complete. 2. Some items of the paperwork is repeated needlessly. (There is a reason for it but still annoying) 3. If you work nights, Saturday to Sunday; the pay week ends on Saturday at midnight so the Sunday hours won’t be counted in your pay. It will be added to the following week’s pay.
