Pros
Excellent affordable health, dental, and vision benefits. Some members of lower management (supervisors) are fantastic people. Decent training depending on your job function.
Cons
Carefirst has been reorganizing for the past year. They have laid off people in rounds. Today was round 3 and I was let go. "Due to organizational changes, your position is eliminated. Today is your last day." My supervisor was not even told about it till after it happened. I was the only one in the company that did all the things I do and they let me go after 17 years. Sneaky behind the back layoff process.
