Pros
I guess it's a 9-5, though you're expected to stay later if the project demands it - and because of deadlines it often does. I liked a lot of the people I worked with. Decent salary, decent vacation policy, though vacation days don't carry over year-to-year, and then they make you think it's an inconvenience for you to take them off.
Cons
There were massive layoffs twice while I was working at the company, both times right after the CEO told us how great the company is doing and how much they profited this year. Communication between departments was often not great. Quotas for photographers were difficult to meet. For example, if I shoot 5 large parts, I have to climb up and down a ladder 20-30 times to ensure each part is straight and perfectly lit. Multiply that by 12, which is how many times the part needs to be rotated to capture each angle. This takes as much time as it would take another photographer to capture 35 small parts, which each only require 4 different angles. So imagine being told your job is on the line because you're shooting the large parts that no one else wants to shoot all day. The micromanaging is crazy. Management often can't give us a straight answer about the correct processes, and then we get chastised when the results are incorrect. You're really just a number here.
