      Pros

      Cargill is a good company to work with and they really have a genuine desire to help their employees. They have an EXCELLENT flexible work arrangement.

      Cons

      As a programmer it wasn't the most Ideal situation. There was so many network and protocol restrictions and most web sites were blocked from viewing it was like pulling teeth to get anything done. I felt like they didn't trust their employees. Also, they were switching QA to be completely outsourced. I think that is a big risk since you could loose the domain knowledge. They didn't put enough emphasis on QA it was more of an afterthought.

      Pros

      Pay is good, especially on holidays! you get days off during the week and you work every other weekend

      Cons

      The schedule is hard, 12 hour days for 1 month then 12 hour nights then switch back. the environment is tough, the work load is heavy. not always the support you need to help you. favoritism, Management can be difficult, sink or swim type of culture, The testing is nearly impossible to get through. In the end you can do a great job in learning the job, if they don't want you, you will be replaced!
