Pros
- Top performers will get more pay incentives - Great work for the communities
Cons
- Boys club mentality. Those who help upper management outside of work (side businesses/projects) or become acquaintances to upper management will get preferential treatment (job assignments, offsite invites, golf tournaments, etc). - Promises great opportunities with new projects. Unfortunately, these often get cancelled which people have lost their jobs (Tartan and ASAP). Alternatively, new projects often go over budget. You will work countless hours of overtime only to not get a bonus or a raise in pay because those are tied to the profits which is unfortunately over budget. NEVER volunteer for a new project or build a new plant. - Those leaders who excel and train their team to do their jobs will find themselves vulnerable and be let go from the company. - As you accumulate vacation, you find that you will not have enough opportunity to take it, thus you can carry over some and lose the rest. - Expect phone calls 24/7 if you are in management. - Expect to work nights and evenings on plant issues, projects, trying to get caught up.
