Pros
- Flexible hours - Get to work with young, genuine, and friendly people - Free drink every shift - Free 1/2 pound of beans every week - Very relaxed and welcoming work environment, discounting rushes and busy times
Cons
- Need to wake up very early, sometimes after working late - Management has limited time to listen to employee concerns - Hours are very unpredictable - Not much room for promotion. Even when promoted, moving from team member to shift supervisor does not have a very high salary increase - Occasionally have to upsell and annoy customers with a rehearsed shtick, which is awkward and collides with the "genuine" personality that we are supposed to exhibit - Have to keep track of your own tips
