Pros
- You meet amazing and fun people. - Learning experience like no other. - Free Drinks. - 30% off everything. - Some very fun coworkers! (Some are the best people I've ever met! Others... not so much) - The old managers (about 3 months ago) were great. They knew what they were doing and were a blast to work with.
Cons
Some coworkers aren't the best: - Some don't do their job correctly or are lazy. - Some have been there for multiple months, but can only do Window (and get the same pay as me). - Transfers from other stores can be rude and bring with them their "weird" methods. - Dishes are a mess! There are specific employees that don't organize, and stuff is just tossed around. New management: - Is paying Experienced Baristas the same as new Employees. - Doesn't train new employees that time matters. People have been sitting in the line for 20min at times! (The old managers did not let this happen, even when we were short-staffed... And it WAS still fun working those days). - Forces unnecessary steps to do simple tasks (such as having a huge tray that takes up lots of space, just to carry whip containers). There are more problems, but it'll turn into an essay if I don't stop. I'm moving jobs to either a rival coffee shop (soon), it's ACROSS THE STREET... Or an electronics store. Yes, that's how bad it is, and yes they both pay more!
