Pros

It's remote and they give you the materials

Cons

Not as flexible as they advertise. You can "pick your hours" but they come in blocked shifts so you have to see ir through 6-10 weeks at a time at 100% attendance. Otherwise, they can write you up. Their shifts are usually I the afternoon like at 3-7 CT...which is fine for people that it works for. I was expecting to tutor for long chunks of time during the day and afternoon for like two days a week. But the way their schedules work is that if you pick a Tuesday to tutor, those sessions are usually lumped with a Thursday or another day of the week. Which, again, it's fine if that works for you but the way they advertise it, it seems like you'd be able to just tutor on whatever days you want...also to pick up a shift you have to watch the group channel like a hawk. They basically post a Google spreadsheet and then ppl sign up for shifts. It's chaos.

Pros

The people I worked with were honestly great. Some of the products are genuinely good, which drives authentic belief in the company's mission. Benefits were okay.

Cons

There's a dangerous lack of imagination in leadership, who were seemingly caught unprepared for the end of ESSER funding and the market downturn in 2025. Multiple rounds of layoffs have demoralized staff and led to a lot of uncertainty, which is unlikely to improve.
