Carolina Handling has been nothing but a positive experience for me. Leadership is constantly working to make the environment a better place for associates and is extremely open to feedback. The culture is one that fosters growth and empowerment, while challenging associates to be the best they can be. I have enjoyed my time at Carolina Handling and look forward to a long career here.

Cons

As the company grows and evolves, there are some growing pains. Change can be difficult and it sometimes can be hard to keep up.

Everyone in the company genuinely wants to help you as a new associate. You are treated like an individual person rather than just a number. The flexibility of being able to work from home to spend more time with family is amazing.

Pros

Good company to work for if you need to gain experience, or are young and want to build a long career. A lot of people here have been with the company 10+ years and have built meaningful lives for themselves and their families.

Cons

With so many people having worked only at this company for their entire careers, they are resistant to change. A lot of outdated systems. Pay is comparatively low, at least in the department I was in, and the workload is heavy so you are expected to work overtime. Leaves very little time for any kind of life outside of work.
