      Good company, could be better! - Field Service Technician Carolina Handling Employee Review

      Pros

      Nice van and kit loadout, good Dealer and Manufacturer support (Raymond Field Service and support). Was once a great company but like so many others have gone mainstream mega corps with all the let-downs to the man on the bottom doing all the hard work. Less appreciation and support from management and team leaders as everything is run on a numbers game. Pay is decent for the average but for the workload not great. Some like it some don't. Most techs seem worn out and aversive, being torn in too many directions at once. Again, a bygone company that could be so much better if they practiced what they preached, didn't make so many demands on and listened to and appreciated more their field service techs who are the lifeblood of the company.

      See above...take more advice from techs and so that they are valuable.

      Pros

      Everyone in the company genuinely wants to help you as a new associate. You are treated like an individual person rather than just a number. The flexibility of being able to work from home to spend more time with family is amazing.

      Pros

      Good company to work for if you need to gain experience, or are young and want to build a long career. A lot of people here have been with the company 10+ years and have built meaningful lives for themselves and their families.

      Cons

      With so many people having worked only at this company for their entire careers, they are resistant to change. A lot of outdated systems. Pay is comparatively low, at least in the department I was in, and the workload is heavy so you are expected to work overtime. Leaves very little time for any kind of life outside of work.
