Pros

What we do is important. I see the impact both personally with my pregnancies and the impact on our customers.

Cons

We just returned from a chaotic week in Dallas for a Sales Summit, which felt more like a Mansplain Fest. Whoever decided to pack 150 people into an airport and an airport hotel with windowless rooms for hours on end clearly didn't think this through. Seriously, consider a different career because event organizing is not your forte. Our new Chief Commercial Officer, supposedly our savior, turned out to be the biggest cringelord. His "I'm so cool" attitude, especially when badmouthing our largest partners like benefits consulting houses and swearing like he's in a school playground, was unbearable. He seemed to take pride in it, which is even worse. It's not cool—calm down and stop trying so hard. The worst part was the mansplaining. We spent at least two hours listening to two men lecture us on why c-sections are the worst and how women should be herded to hospitals to save costs. What about our personal preferences? Our comfort? Our autonomy in making decisions that aren't just about your bottom line? As someone who had to have a c-section, this made me feel like a failure. I don't need to hear this from a man. Try squeezing a ten-pound baby out of your hole and then come back and talk to me.
