Pros
Fellow associates and ASM's were all very friendly and created a positive working environment. The culture of the company was pro-child, and very charitable, which is commendable.
Cons
I found the store manager prone to favoritism. Hard scheduled shifts cut without notice. Two out of three shifts were 'call in' shifts, which were virtually never used, but woe unto he who doesn't set aside the time in his life, or call in. Since getting hours was like pulling teeth, it was necessary to have another job, and not always possible to be available for a shift I wouldn't be used for. High school students seemed to be given priorty for scheduling - both for time and amount of hours. While performance and evaluations were very good, sales lead openings were consistently offered to teenagers. The employee discount of 25% could easily be met by the consumer through the use of coupons and Reward money. No great shakes here.
