Pros
1. The food is easy to prepare and doesn't require a great deal of thought. Read the ticket, put the toppings on in the correct amount and order. Put it in the oven and do one order at a time. 2. The full time benefits are acceptable, decent insurance, vacation time, and the 50% off food while on duty is pretty nice too,
Cons
1. Constant, constant, constant changes to menu items, their names, their costs. I understand that there are going to always BE changes in this industry but do we really need to rearrange the bagged candy three times in one year? Planogram updates and cooler resets take employees out of the kitchen and put more strain on those in there. 2. Pretty hard to get a good work-life balance going without using all of your vacation time. Lack of new hires in my district mean that there isn't anyone to cover when an employee is sick and thus it falls on management (already working 45 hours a week minimum) to pick up the slack 3. Pretty constant supply issues since the Joplin distribution center opened. The store is always out of something for prolonged periods of time. First it was donuts (still ongoing but getting much better) Then it was ALL chicken. Still popcorn chicken even now. Couldn't get Slim Jim's in for months until we did a planogram update. Feels absolutely horrible to tell our regulars every day for months that we're out of their favorite items and we have nothing we can do at the store level to alleviate the issue. 4. Starting to change with our old regional and divisional leaving but upper management was out of touch with store level operations. Expected the store to look nice while we were putting truck away. Was upset with the clutter, again, while we were putting truck away. Rebutted with "Oh, I understand but it's business." No, if you understand why something is the way that it is and you understand that it's literally being fixed in front of your face why are you complaining about it?
