One area for improvement is the flexibility for new employees regarding remote work hours.

The interview process created a positive first impression, and I felt there was good alignment with the hiring team. The company was going through a merger and acquisition, which provided exposure to a dynamic business environment and the opportunity to learn. The role was fully remote, the compensation was above average, and the benefits were reasonable. I also had the opportunity to work with talented and collaborative colleagues. My direct manager was approachable, supportive, and genuinely cared about the team.

The organization lacked structure, resulting in constant instability and ambiguity. While some level of change is expected during an M&A, the execution created unnecessary challenges. The contracting processes and supporting systems require significant improvement, and there were pockets of toxic behavior across global teams that negatively affected collaboration. This can be a reasonable opportunity if you are unemployed, looking for remote work, or want to gain experience in a fast-changing environment. However, if you are leaving a stable position, carefully evaluate the trade-offs. In my case, I concluded it was not the right long-term fit and left after only a few months.
