Over the past 20 years the Catawba Valley Medical Center has evolved an excellent primary care network serving Catawba County, NC.

Cons

The outpatient electronic medical record & patient portal are not currently as well integrated with other community providers, nor as patient friendly, as in the larger Charlotte NC health systems.

Nice that hospital is not part of one of the massive health systems in NC. Feels a bit more old fashioned as a result. However the system is definitely seeking to grow within its current region.

Cons

Leadership is a clique. Directors are moved and oversee areas with 0 clinical experience in the areas they are leading.
