Pros

close to home. nothing else

Cons

VERY high turnover rate...nurse to patient ratio gets thrown out the door because there are not enough nurses to cover the units. Management doesn't care about the nurses. I worked there for a year and I've never seen the CNO!!!!Nurses are overworked so they call out sick a lot. So now they came up with an 'on call' policy because they are so short staffed. you are not allowed to use any holidays or personal time only pre-approved vacations. So therefore you should work without being able to take a day of and 95% of the time you do not get a BREAK. You do not get any thanks and appreciation for anything. what you get is a very punitive environment where management does not care about you or your license. A lot of bias and prejudice behaviour on the nurses part. The nurses who have been working there for years are in one group and the newly hired nurses in another and they gossip about and belittle newly hired rns. Very hard to get any help from them, so new nurses are helping new nurses. Very toxic environment, worst place I've ever worked, hands down. Apply at your own risk!!

Pros

Loyal, tenured staff. Busy level I trauma hospital.

Cons

Leadership had no vision and was very resistant to change. There was a culture of blame instead of getting to the root cause of issues.
