Don't feel valued by management - Registered Nurse Catholic Medical Center Employee Review

Pros

Decent pay for the area, clean and modern facility, training opportunities

Cons

Nursing bonuses are based on a lengthy PRP application file employees have to assemble themselves, which most people fill with bogus activities, meetings, and secondary preceptorships. It rewards those most comfortable with lying. The company tries to avoid paying tuition reimbursement, requiring paperwork weeks before terms begin so that you are disqualified if you enroll without enough notice, and with zero flexibility on any of the paperwork. They are requiring all nurses to go back to school if they don't have BSNs, but many us are getting rejected for any reimbursement because of paperwork being submitted a few days too late for their arbitrary deadline. Bullying by staff is ignored by management or mishandled, pushing out good employees and allowing the meanest ones to keep working there.

Pros

Enjoyed the people I worked with, busy every shift, learned a lot (being a student it was great).

Cons

Every place has stuff you are not going to love I guess. There was no direct issue with then that drove me to leave. I left when I was offered a position at an office, and after covid I was just ready for a change.
