Pros

dynamic and engaging work environment, never a dull moment, senior management and staff is passionate about the product offerings and everyone strives best to stay afloat!, free first cruise on joining, discounted future cruises

Cons

poor pay and progression opportunities, pay in travel industry in general isn't great compared to other sectors, could negotiate at joining but after that even if you get promoted its a minimal increase which doesn't seem fair and doesn't keep one motivated for long, fairly lean hierarchy structure in some teams which doesn't allow for line management experience which is so important for career development

Pros

It offers a great working environment, especially considering the unique challenges of cruise life. Crew members generally understand the difficulties that come with the job, which creates a strong sense of support and teamwork. The compensation is competitive compared to many other cruise lines, and there are genuine opportunities for career growth for those who are motivated and willing to take on new challenges. The company also puts effort into maintaining crew morale through various activities, events, and initiatives.

Cons

There can be a perception of favoritism within certain departments, with some teams appearing to receive preferential treatment over others. At times, the culture can feel very hierarchical, where employees may feel they are viewed more as numbers rather than as individuals. Additionally, the nature of cruise operations can create challenges with work-life balance, and there is room for improvement in ensuring crew members have adequate rest, personal time, and support outside of their professional responsibilities. A stronger focus on leadership training, emotional intelligence, equal treatment across all departments, and a healthier approach to crew wellbeing would significantly improve the overall employee experience.
