Pros

Celerant is a great place to grow and get experience but also a place that can easily be career. They are the number 1 retail software provider so you can be confident that the company is here to stay. Celerant maintains a small company feel and respects the opinions of the team members and provides exposure to many difference aspects of software support and development. They provide training to grow the staff and are always looking to promote with in the company when they can to senior and management positions. The tools and skills you learn are industry specific as well as software specific so the experience gained here can be applied in the future. Traditionally there was an in person work day, with weekly pizza lunch provided to all staff. Since COVID, the company has adapted to a work from home model but maintains an office in Staten Island that always has staff present if preferred over working from home. Celerant also has started team building weeks to build the relationships of new hires and existing staff and periodically sends out gift cards to staff for lunch in place of the pizza Friday. Employees all are very friendly and regardless if you are the CEO or a new hire, everyone is very easy to approach and work with. There is typically no issue with taking time off when needed and the PTO is accrued. Management is flexible and understanding of time off requests. Celerant has a performance review process yearly to help staff grow and also recognize staff for their hard work. They do a consistent in providing yearly salary increases based on your performance. Overall, a great place to work and feel that you are are valued as well as feel ownership of the product the Celerant is providing.

Cons

Used to provide half day Friday's in the summer and a company match on 401K with vesting but that has not been present since prior to COVID. There are also only 6 federal holidays observed and would be nice to have a few more as floating holidays. For long term employees, once you reach 5 years of service, there is no benefit for longevity such as additional PTO such as an additional day every 2 years.

Thanks for the excellent feedback! We do offer team members at 5 years an additional week of PTO, but you are correct that it doesn't extend past that point. That is a good suggestion and one we will take back to our HR team.

Pros

I’ve had a great experience working at Celerant. The culture is one of the standout aspects—it’s genuinely supportive, collaborative, and focused on helping employees succeed. People here are willing to share knowledge, work as a team, and celebrate each other’s wins, which creates a positive and motivating environment. Leadership does an excellent job of communicating the company’s vision and making employees feel valued. Managers are approachable, supportive, and invested in both personal and professional growth. It’s clear that leadership cares about building a strong team and maintaining a healthy workplace culture. There are also plenty of opportunities for growth. The company encourages learning, skill development, and taking on new challenges. If you’re motivated and eager to grow, there are real chances to advance and expand your career. Overall, this is a company that truly invests in its people. The combination of strong leadership, a positive culture, and meaningful opportunities makes it a great place to build a career.

Cons

One minor downside is that because many of us work remotely, there aren’t as many opportunities to see coworkers as often as we might like. The flexibility of remote work is a huge benefit that allows for an amazing work-life balance that more than makes up for this!

Thank you for sharing your experience. Our annual 'team week', only once per year is not enough- I agree!! :-)

Pros

Good benefits and you get to travel.

Cons

They don't have a 401K, you have to fight like hell to get a basic raise when you find out new people get hired on higher than your salary, and they will lay you off without any severance or even a good luck. Just out the door.
