Pros
You have the freedom to create and follow your own schedule for the most part. Compensation and benefits, in my opinion, is in line with other companies, if not better. This is a very fulfilling position. It is a wonderful gift and an honor to be able to help a person transition comfortably and peacefully unto death.
Cons
This is supposed to be an 8am to 5pm position. However, you are required to prepare forms and write recertifications which usually must be done after hours. Your patient load is so heavy that you can't get all your work done in a normal work day. You often are asked/told to cover on-call hours.
