Pros

Decent co-workers who do most of the actual training to help you on the job, know about client resources and will share information with you.

Cons

Horrific, unrelenting focus on meeting productivity goals makes for a miserable work environment and experience. When hired, you will not be informed that if you do not meet your productivity goals your request for paid time off can be denied by your supervisor. But it's true. You may also not be told that productivity expectations, like 70 billable hours a week, are required no matter how many working days there are in a month, So holidays, staff training, snow days, vacation days- still gotta meet productivity. Management gives precious little time for employees to learn the job and get up to speed in the field, so don't be surprised if within your first three months you find yourself in a "counseling session", complete with a random other supervisor who will act as the company "witness" for your session, where you will have to sign a contract re:strategies to increase billable hours. Yep, miss productivity enough times and you are fired. And too bad so sad for you if you have clients who don't show up (very common) or you have to cancel appointments to deal with a client in crisis. Also, case managers are encouraged to lengthen the time of each client session to increase billable hours, and case managers are evaluated in part on the average length of visit, longer the better. Case managers also have more visits a month than are necessary for some clients, all in the name of productivity. So, not only a miserable place to work, but one with questionable ethics and use of pubic money as well.

Pros

Overtime. Coworkers are the most enjoyable part.

Cons

Supervisors do not listen. You do not get a response to emails. Are belittled in the hallway about personal mentality where other coworkers can hear. No FIRE safety standards up to date!! No care for staff mental or physical wellbeing. No urgency when exposed to bodily fluids.
