-couldn't understand a thing my superiors were saying, very little speaking English. Lots of yelling at me that I couldn't understand what they wanted or what i was doing wrong due to the language barrier
-Safety rules don't apply to everyone. The one buddy I had there told me one of said workers above was notorious for breaking safety violations and has injured people on more than one occasion with very little repercussions. In fact the last day I was there when the boss asked for the keys to the company truck, that same guy in question threw the keys down to him from the ~30 FT. scaffolding. Boss did nothing, just a funny little jab at him like it was some cute little joke.
-got let go after two days without explanation. I liked the job and wanted to stay and as far as I knew I thought I was doing a decent job
