Not worth the loan forgiveness - Nurse Practitioner Central City Community Health Center Employee Review

Pros

The ancillary staff are really accommodating and they work very hard. Never met an MA, FO, or office manager that wasn't hard working there. Everyone seems to really try even though they're burned out.

Cons

The pay and the patient load are a joke. If a senior provider to you doesn't want to take on any new patients, then it will all fall on you with no cap on your own load because they only care about numbers and will double and triple book you on top of it. Not to mention the absolute trainwrecks of patients you will inherit from former providers who have never laid eyes on the patient or paid any attention to actual care (zero labs for years on end, speaking to caretakers only without examining the patient, overmedicating, etc.) I wouldn't bother if you're a new graduate as it is sink or swim with zero guidance if you care about your license.

Pros

Some of the people have been amazing

Cons

Does not follow company mission. Suspicious activities with former fraudulent CEO still involved with the organization. You are targeted if you ask questions and don't look the other way. MAs have the upper hand. Lacks sufficient nurses for the amount of clinics there are.
