Terrible management. Terrible decision making. Terrible to their drivers. Terrible to their dock workers. If you work for CT you can forget about having a life outside of work. Their entire philosophy revolves around putting as much time in as possible. If you're a dock worker you will work 55-60 hours and 6 days a week. If you're a driver you will spend hours waiting for your load, busted trailer getting fixed, old raggedy tractor or even new tractor getting fixed all without getting paid. You will be forced to drive equipment that will be a DOT hazard on the regular. If you don't drive they threaten you with termination. If you are supervisor get ready for everything being your fault and not having any control on your own dock. That's right! At CT LineHaul controls the dock 100%. From where dock workers are allowed to work to what dock workers are allowed to work on. Supervisors have zero control. Not to mention with the incredible turnover rate Supervisors will be expected to keep the same production despite losing dock workers are worse training what CT likes to call "bodies". You'll also be one of the lowest paid LTL supervisors in the industry as well. Managers, specifically TM'S have career expectancy of less than 12 months. That's right, on average Terminal Managers will lose their jobs inside of less than a year.
CT is as bad as they say it is. The turnover rate, policy changes, decision making, etc. is as bad as they say it is. If you are looking for a career in logistics you are better off looking at other places. Think of it like this. Old Dominion, Estes, Dayton, Saia, UPS and Conway/XPO are the cream of the crop while CT is the bottom of the barrel. The people that got no where else to turn end up at CT. That's why they have some of the lowest customer satisfaction ratings in the business.
Stay away!
