Cons
I worked in a corporate role at Centuri and honestly the biggest issue was leadership and culture.
There was no focus on efficiency or improving processes. Work was often made harder than it needed to be because management resisted change and did not seem interested in modernizing how things were done. It felt like people spent more time working around broken systems than actually fixing them.
Management also lacked basic leadership skills. I never had a goal setting meeting, performance evaluation, or meaningful coaching conversation the entire time I was there. There was very little investment in employee development or career growth.
The environment became draining because negativity came from the top down. There was constant complaining about employees, other departments, workloads, and leadership decisions, but very little accountability or action to improve anything. Culture clearly was not a priority.
The experience itself helped me build resilience, but I would not recommend the company to someone looking for strong leadership, mentorship, or organization.
