Pros

Pay is a lot higher than the other prisons in Missouri.

Cons

Corporate and management does not care about the staff. Severely understaffed and mandated to work excessive amounts, sometimes without enough time to sleep between shifts. You'll learn they will hire anybody, even if they are under qualified.

Helping others- Other staff was great. Salary.

Cons

Prison staff at Hayes were not concerned about the safety of inmates or MH Staff. Program manager avoided doing her job- Would scream at other employees. Work wasn't always divided evenly. Some employees were considered favorites. Have to be tough skinned to deal with inmates.
