Pros

Quick rejection using Indeed platform

Cons

This company employs an insipid and impersonal screening app that basically tries to prove you're not a babbling idiot before they talk to you. After paying indeed to reach out to me on a targeted basis, I was then subjected to this robotic and pointless screening. The last round is to record your voice responses so they 1) don't have to actually talk to you and 2) can discriminate against you based on the way you sound. It's very unnatural and demeaning. Don't waste your time on them since they can't be bothered to treat you like a human. Any company that behaves this way won't treat you any better once you're hired.

Century Services Response

Good afternoon, We are happy to clear up any misunderstandings! While Indeed is our main recruitment platform, the features you mentioned is not something that we use. Applicants who apply on Indeed are immediately sent to our Talent Acquisition team. From there, our team reaches out to applicants based on their qualifications. We find that having a quick phone call conversation is a much easier and faster way to make a connection with someone, learn about them, and see if they are a good fit for the role in discussion. We are unsure if this review was meant to be left for another organization. Nonetheless, we wish you well in your search!

Pros

Work from home flexibility. Health Care was decent.

Cons

Until about 2025 things were looking good at Century but once the first round of unexpected layoffs happened last September due to "restructuring" we BULs (business unit leaders) were told our jobs were safe and that layoffs wouldn't happen again. Fast forward to February 2026 and there was another round of layoffs (once again unannounced) despite C-Suite managers saying this wouldn't happen. The truly sad part is that they made a point to layoff several employees who have been with the company for over 4 to 5 years making their dedication to the company a ticking time bomb. If you stayed long enough over the years you made decent pay. However that no longer matters since they actively laid off all the tenured employees who actually stuck with the company over the years.
