Pros

- good team and direct manager - a lot of hard working people - retirement participation, transit pass, healthcare assurance - flexible hour

Cons

- awful management from executive and directors teams - unstable executive teams, people doesn't stay long - unclear goals or unstable directions for task, it can change several time a day even for emergencies - directors or sale management doing unrealistic promises - no raise of salary or ridiculous, even when difficult expectations are met, overworking, overtime - unstable, lay-off every 3 months - too much pressure, not enough people for the work that need to be done - no investment in their own product to update system from all the last changes that has been done

Pros

Overall, I enjoyed my experience at Cerence. I learned a lot, grew significantly, and met many great people from around the world.

Cons

The number of reorganizations and layoffs took a huge toll on the company culture and morale. The company's vision and strategy was hard to pin down as well, which made my job more challenging in a less than ideal way. It was also frustrating that the tuition reimbursement advertised upon signing was actually dependent on department budgets and discretion, so I never had the chance to use it.
