Pros

Have some good & talented people on the sales and engineering teams. Sales Team is young and hungry for success, with lots of talent. Deep bench of technical resources Offers 24x7 support Flexibility to work hybrid or remote as needed Good Technology Solutions Hire Military Veterans that are looking to start a career in technology

Cons

Culture is toxic and unhealthy and starts at the top with executive management. Sales Org is poorly run by a leadership team that have a legacy mindset, will micro-manage, and unwilling to adapt to change. Sales Compensation Plans are complex, confusing, and change year to year. Low attainment and no bonus incentives. Unethical and Unacceptable behavior by the President of the company towards current employees and technology partners. Personal boundaries are dis-regarded like being required to join meetings while on PTO, or attend video calls while driving. Quotas are unrealistic and unattainable, especially for new hires. High turnover rate, roughly 50 people have left the organization in the last 18 months. Corporate Holidays do not include Veterans Day, MLK, or Juneteenth. Broken processes and legacy tools make it difficult to sell or get things done efficiently. Company has been trying to sell for the last few years.

Pros

Cerium is a great spot for those that are looking to continually push and challenge themselves to grow and develop. In my personal experience, I was consistently provided with new challenges and opportunities for growth over my 4 years within the organization. When I was first hired I started out in an entry level HR role, and within 2.5 years I was given the opportunity to manage a team of employees. In addition to growth and development, Cerium offers the chance to work with a great group of people. In my 4 years working for the organization, I had the opportunity to collaborate with an incredible group of skilled, intelligent, and overall wonderful employees. The ability to learn from other employees with decades of work experience is a major pro to working at Cerium.

Cons

Employees are expected to contribute to the overall success of the organization. Individuals that are not looking to work hard, collaborate with others, and develop/grow are not a good fit within this organization. The work can be challenging, but also very rewarding. There is also some tribal knowledge within the company, so continuing to work towards breaking down silos and creating more formal processes in documenting internal processes and procedures is an emphasis across departments.

Pros

1. Heavy emphasis on coordinating teams across multiple departments and levels of the company. 2. High visibility of management throughout the organization and ease of access to them and decision making. 3. Strong emphasis in ongoing training and career development. 4. Good use of communication technology within the company, though not as much on the accounting/finance side.

Cons

Some work was still needed on breaking down some of the "silos" in the company and it was certainly easier to do cross-functional work (e.g. accounting to engineering) if you had at least a few years in the company to establish those relationships and learn more of your counterparts job functions.
