Pros
- At one point, this position offered a very generous compensation package, including base + commission. - Great deal of autonomy in regard to working hours, work from home and PTO. - Direct managers were supportive, even-keeled and fair.
Cons
- Discontinued commission plans with little notice, followed by a freeze in raises/promotions - even for those that were promised/approved by management. - Recently discontinued the option to roll-over unused PTO to the following year. - Archaic IT infrastructure (FoxPro, home-grown server management tools built in 1999) that fails/stalls on a daily basis, thus affecting one's ability to perform basic job duties. - If you're there long enough, you come to realize that each piece of software/system relies on an unsustainable series of patches and work-arounds. - As a result of multiple acquisitions and mergers, it is virtually impossible for business units to share data, integrate systems and/or maintain any sense of uniformity across the company. - Over the past year, it has become abundantly clear that CH's main responsibility is to its ownership group (Blackstone/McKesson), and not its employees or customers. - Useless workshops and round-table discussions with HR to discuss these issues do not lead to significant change whatsoever. Usually these just serve as thinly-veiled attempts to cojole positive emotions about the company where little actually exist.
