Pros

Work with large clients. Learn a LOT. Decent work-life balance. Great co-workers. Decent pay.

Cons

3 Chief Officers left in the span of 4 months. Everything fell apart after that. They hired in replacements that knew nothing about the clients and weren't interested in taking advice from those who had been there from the start of projects. They hired in replacements that had no interest in the employees or how things had been run prior to themselves entering the picture. They lost a number of great workers because of these changes, and what would have been rated a 5 star company went down to a 1 star. They let go of a number of staff for non-disciplinary reasons. Simply decided one day to drop them, even though they had no backups available. In the end you had employees doing 3 times their workload, in areas they had no experience. They took "The Client is Always Right" to the extreme. Any professional knows that there is a certain degree of compromise you make with clients, but when they began to allow the clients to make all the calls, but still hold the team accountable for the result of poor decisions... You can fill in the blanks. CEO often makes changes Friday at 4pm before a Monday 10am meeting. That means you get to spend 36 hours of your weekend re-doing an entire presentation because there's no way your manager will take on that responsibility. This doesn't even get into the issue with it being salary, but you still have start and end times, and if you take a half day Thursday but still come in Saturday (on your day off), they will still dock pay. And the CEO enjoys harassing employees during the day, or their spouses at event parties. That's always a great bonus to look forward to.

Pros

This is a company that is very entrepreneurial and fast moving where your contributions are noticed, appreciated and rewarded. It's a great mix of disciplines: creative, UX, development, etc. and hires some really solid people that care about their work product, and each other. I can't say enough good things about the people. I consider everyone here a personal friend. Incredible, challenging environment with great opportunity for personal and professional growth. Fun and friendly management for the most part. Strong female representation in management. The CEO is a hard-charging digital pioneer. Head of Ops, another female, keeps the place together and is always accessible and available to help clear obstacles or just hear you out. Overall great work/life balance compared to just about everywhere I have worked!

Cons

The company has experienced rapid growth and some of the issues that come with that...thus, some of the disgruntled formers you see on here (some people are apparently just born angry and disgruntled). Overall these issues have been balanced out in the time I've been here and some of the people that can't cut it are no longer there. We gotta keep being selective about the types of personalities we hire!
